ESD’s Diploma Students visited the French Ambassador’s Residence in Tallinn

The French Ambassador to Estonia, Mrs Claudia Delmas-Scherer received, on November 2nd, 2017, at the French Embassy’s Residence in Tallinn, the diploma students of the 2017-2018 class of the Estonian School of Diplomacy, accompanied by ESD’s director Mr Ekke Nõmm. Ambassador Delmas-Scherer gave a presentation on France’s main pillars of foreign policy, as well as the French-Estonian relationships.

The Ambassador, with her team of staff, the first adviser to the French Embassy in Estonia, Mr Julien Paupert, the economic adviser, Mr Pascal Millard and the advisor for cooperation and cultural action, Ms Anne Chounet-Cambas, followed the presentation with informal discussions with the students on French culture and relations with their respective countries. The diploma students, mostly diplomats, come from Estonia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Rwanda, Uganda, Georgia, Cameroon, Algeria, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Moldova, Egypt, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.

This meeting is part of ESD’s extracurricular activities for our diploma students, in which the students get to meet with, gain experience from and exchange ideas and views with experts in all fields of international relations, security and diplomacy.
