ESD’s Executive Programmes are tailor-made training courses that provide focused, practical training to diplomats and representatives of other government bodies both in Estonia and abroad. These courses are designed to improve participants’ skills in administration, diplomacy, e-governance, reform implementation, other concrete areas in a short period of time.
The courses are developed and implemented by ESD, in cooperation with its extensive network of local and international experts and institutional partners. Participants are able to refresh existing skills while acquiring new ones in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, fosters intellectual curiosity, and facilitates networking among peers.

TRILATERAL PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT: UKRAINE’S EUROPEAN WAY
( July 2023 – June 2025)
This programme aims to contribute to Ukraine’s long-term institutional development and enhance the expertise of diplomats and civil servants involved in implementing EU-related reforms. Participants will receive valuable education and training to support Ukraine’s European integration process. SSE Riga is honoured to be a part of this important undertaking.
The signing parties include the Estonian Centre for International Development and the Swedish Institute, both providing financing. Additionally, the Eesti Diplomaatide Kool/ Estonian School of Diplomacy and the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and SSE Riga will provide educational programmes and training. more…



Preparation of Moldova’s Public Sector for Negotiations and Integration with the European Union
(March 2025 – December 2025)
The goal of the project is to increase the capacity of the Office of European Integration (OEI) of the Moldovan State
Chancellery and Deputy Prime Minister’s by training Moldovan officials who are involved in EU-accession negotiations and
are responsible for Moldova’s internal EU-integration process. It also increases the institutional capacity of OEI that would
enable to develop and implement EU-related training programs in the future. Sharing Estonia’s experience in various EUintegration
related aspects enables to enhance the capacity of Moldovan officials to successfully conduct accession
negotiations and to administer EU-integration activities. In the training process officials from different areas provide
information on structural reform needs for Moldova on its European path. Moldova Diplomatic Institute is also engaged as
a partner in the project.
