On October 16th, the Estonian School of Diplomacy had the honour to welcome the US Ambassador to Estonia, Ambassador James D. Melville Jr., to our premises for a lively discussion with our twenty-four diploma students of class 2017/18. Ambassador Melville’s remarks reflected his extensive experience as a diplomat for the United States and included several remarkable stories. A lively discussion followed shedding some light on the US-Estonian relations, and the pillars of the US Foreign Policy.
This meeting is part of ESD’s extracurricular activities for our diploma students, in which the students get to meet with, gain experience from and exchange ideas and views with experts in all fields of international relations, security and diplomacy.
