Currently, ESD runs a development cooperation project that supports the development of Georgian Diplomatic Training and Research Institute and Georgian foreign service, funded from the development cooperation framework of MFA Estonia.
In the framework of this project, a one-week study visit of junior diplomats from MFA Georgia took place on September 2-7, 2019 in Tallinn.
Study visit focused on the following subject areas:
– cooperation between Estonia and Georgia;
– introduction to the defence system of Estonia;
– small states in the changing world order;
– geopolitical storylines in foreign policy;
– political challenges of EU;
– public and digital diplomacy;
– strategic communication;
– populism in international relations;
– visits to the Parliament of Estonia, MFA Estonia and to the e-Estonia Briefing Centre.
