On April 9-12, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga held a Leadership Meeting of Diplomatic Training Institutions of the Wider Black Sea Region.
The purpose of this meeting was to review current trends in the global and European economies, discuss perspectives for economic cooperation in the Black Sea region and review the means and tools of economic diplomacy.
Representatives of the Foreign Ministries and diplomatic training institutions of Estonia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Romania and Bulgaria took part in the Meeting.
Participants visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and met with the Ambassador on Special Assignment H.E.Ms. Baiba Braže and the Director General of the Directorate of Economic Relations, Trade and Cooperation Development of the Ministry Ms. Alise Balode. The Meeting was organised within the framework of the Trilateral Diplomatic Initiative, multilateral cooperation between the Estonian School of Diplomacy, Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, the Swedish Institute and ESTDEV.
