On March 21st, a meeting was held between Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia and Mr. Ekke Nõmm, Director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy. A ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two educational institutions in the field of international relations and diplomacy took place.
The directors discussed issues related to the advancement of the exhisting cooperation between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Estonian School of Diplomacy and the implementation of joint projects.
Afterwards, Mr. Nõmm met with the students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats of the Foreign Ministry, spoke about the activities of the Estonian School of Diplomacy and the priorities of Estonia’s foreign policy.

On March 22nd, Mr Ekke Nõmm, Director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy, participated in the conference on “Public Diplomacy in the Digital Age: Lessons for Armenia” organised by the Diplomatic School of Armenia.
Diplomats, heads of information and public relations departments of various state agencies, press secretaries, officials responsible for decentralized international cooperation at regional governments of Armenia, experts and researches in this field attended the event.
International experts in the field of public diplomacy, as well as practitioners from Armenia and other countries discussed the current trends of development of public diplomacy in the digital age, and, based on the experience of different countries, proposed practical steps for public diplomacy in Armenia.
The topic of the Mr. Nõmm speech was “Thoughts on Public Diplomacy from Estonia – a Small Country with Troubled Past and Challenging Future”.
