Estonian School of Diplomacy welcomes 25 students for its new academic year 2017/18

On September 18th, 2017, the Estonian School of Diplomacy (ESD) commenced its academic year 2017/18 in Tallinn for its postgraduate diploma programme. Twenty-five students are enrolled this year. Nine Estonians and sixteen international students coming from fourteen countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean (Algeria, Egypt, Cameron, Rwanda, Uganda, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, China, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.)

The ESD Postgraduate Diploma is a nine months programme which runs annually from September until May the following year, offering mainly three thematic modules: International Relations, European Integration, and Diplomatic Studies.

The curriculum aims to provide knowledge and skills necessary for working in the field of international affairs. The studies are organised as a full-time evening course; with classes on four afternoons per week. The courses include classroom work (lectures and seminars) and independent work. The total amount of credit points obtainable is 75. The program is considered completed when at least 60 credit points have been collected.

This academic programme is organised in co-operation with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The new round for scholarship for the next academic year 2018/2019 will be launched in late Spring 2018.
