9.-13. oktoobril, 2017 leidis aset EDK korraldatud 8-liikmelise araabia riikide diplomaatide delegatsiooni õppereis Tallinnasse. Õppereisil osalesid diplomaadid Egiptuse, Jordaania, Maroko ja Tuneesia välisministeeriumidest.

Õppereisi raames kohtuti kolleegidega Eesti välisministeeriumist, kus tutvuti Eesti välisteenistuse ajaloo ning välispoliitika prioriteetidega, lisaks tutvuti konsulaarpraktika, äridiplomaatia ning kommunikatsiooniosakonna parimate praktikatega. Õppereisi raames külastati veel Riigikogu, kohtuti e-riigi asjatundjatega ning toimus ka läbirääkimiste koolitus. Õppereisi viimasel päeval külastati Helsingit ning Soome välisministeeriumi, kus kohtuti Lähis-Ida riikide osakonna diplomaatidega.

Araabia diplomaatide õppereis oli viimane projektist, mille raames EDK on kahe aasta jooksul ellu viinud kaks õppereisi Kesk-Aasia (AFG, KAZ, KYR, TAJ), diplomaatidele (Juunis 2016 ja 2017) ning kaks õppereisi araabia (EGT, JOR, MOR, TUN) riikide diplomaatidele. Projekti laiemaks eesmärgiks oli otsekontaktide ning ühiste võimalike edaspidiste koostöömomentide leidmine.

Projekti rahastas Eesti välisministeerium Eesti vabariigi arengukoostöö raamistikust.
